She has been helped by staff such as Mr Hennessy who is responsible for making sure pupils get to school on time. Leah hopes to study drama at collage but has a terrible attendance record.
Can Mr Hennessy get through her tough exterior to improve her prospects? Jess has a different issue. Although a hard worker with 100% attendance record, she is mystified by the social aspect of school and baffled by pupils who are silly in class. Mrs Ballard thinks taking the helm of a school newspaper could teach Jess how to interact with her peers. "

Spirit), winner of the Group Two July Stakes and Richmond Stakes, continued his
progression with a dominant victory in the Group One Prix Morny at Deauville on
Sunday. Richard Hannon's Gutaifan was second, ahead of Pascal Bary's Tourny in

“Al
Shaqab’s star juvenile defied torrential Normandy rain on Sunday to run
out a commanding winner of the Group 1 Darley Prix Morny.
Gosden said “He is easily the fastest
juvenile he has trained since the mighty Oasis Dream. Bookmakers were impressed
to, Paddy Power halving Shalaa’s Qipco 2,000 Guineas odds to 10-1, and the
majority of firms making him second favourite for the Newmarket Classic behind
Air Force Blue.
“Dettori kept Shalaa within a length of
Gutaifan through the first half-mile but, even on ground that had taken a severe pounding, was unable to contain his partner’s exuberance two out and they surged on to record a length and three-quarters victory.
“I didn’t want to say before he had won
a Group 1, but he’s the best two-year-old I’ve ridden, “ said a jubilant Dettori. “It was heavy ground, but his class got him through. He doesn’t mind horses upsides him and I’d love to find one to get in behind, but I haven’t found one fast enough yet.”
“Dettori reflected on the hard work
behind the scenes to channel Shalaa’s raw aggression.
“In the morning he sits behind lead
horses and is all right, but in races I don’t want to break his stride,” he
said. “ He used to have his moments, but
we’ve done a lot of natural speed schooling and skipped Royal Ascot for that
reason. John and I and the Al Shabah team decided that might have come a bit
quick and could have blown his mind. ”
“British racegoers will have one more
chance to see Shalaa this season, with Gosden nominating the Juddmonte Middle
Park Stakes as the last target for the year.”
“Having already had one knife-edge decision
to make with Golden Horn at York, Gosden repeated the patrol of the Deauville
track that had preceded successful run in the Prix Jacques le Marois last year.
“He didn’t like the ground but
tolerated it,” said Gosden, “He’s got enormous natural speed. Everyone was keen
to run, bit Frankie understood if he was hating the ground he was to look after
him. He’s done it well.”
“Gosden has already mentioned the 2016
Commonwealth Cup after Shalaa’s Richmond Stakes win, and added: “He has so much
speed I think he might be purely a very fast sprinter.
“The Commonwealth at Ascot now gives
that kind of horse a home. I had Oasis Dream, who was a very fast two- year -old certainly
the champion sprinter at three. Shalaa could have those capabilities.
He’s certainly the fastest two-year-old I‘ve had since Oasis Dream. “
